Practice Tonight & Roger McGuinn

We're practicing this evening. I guess we have 3-4 practices left before we play our first gig.

Roger McGuinn was born on this day in 1942. Mr. McGuinn's band The Byrds, once labeled "America's answer to The Beatles", were highly influential on my own sound. Though I don't play a twelve string, I do utilize a chorus which somewhat mimics that twelve string sound that you can hear on a multitude of Byrds tracks such as "Mr. Tamborine Man", "Feel a Whole Lot Better", "Mr. Spaceman", "Eight Miles High", "Chestnut Mare", "So You Want to Be a Rock'n'll Star", and "Turn! Turn! Turn!". They're one of the very few bands whose complete recorded catalog I owned.
