Jim Shelley & Book Of Kills

Looks as if George III, Garfield and I are going to play August 19 at the Little Grill. I'm not sure exactly the details of the show, so I think it would be best if I just held off on announcing a time, those who'll play with us, etc. I'm certainly hoping that Buck Gooter plays, but I don't even know that for sure. I'm sure I'll have more information very soon.

I only just finished uploading another Book of Kills album to CDBaby and, of course, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and yes, all the other online stores you know and love, than they've informed me that it's time to upload another one! And I'm not sure that I've actually got anything ready to upload. I've thought about possibly putting together some sort of expanded version of 1999's WELCOME TO CONCRETE, but that's dependent upon whether I can find enough outtakes, demos, and so forth to accompany that little seven song e.p. to make it worth my while.

Tommy Ramone died on this day in 2014. Tommy was the last surviving member of the original Ramones before his death.

"The drums were new to me; I was just playing what was in my head. I was a guitar player originally - so on the drums, I just played what was in my head rather than caring too much about what others were playing. And in that way, I came up with a simple but unique style." -- Tommy Ramone
