Jim Shelley & Book Of Kills

Just a Thing or Two...

I should have some time to listen to the recording of the show from last Saturday and perhaps divide it up into separate files and do the requisite mastering before uploading it to the audio page. I might not have enough time to get everything done tomorrow but we'll see. I'm hoping that the recording came out okay. The few seconds I've listened to sounded decent...if maybe a little reverb-y. The good thing, as I mentioned in my last post, is that you can actually hear the vocals.

Don't know when there'll be another BOK show. Like I said, there's just not much of a demand around here for little unknown hard rock bands that do original material. This is the Shenandoah Valley, baby! You better do covers or you better have a fiddler! Or both.

This would've been Layne Staley's fiftieth birthday. However, he decided to check out early at the fairly tender age of 35 in 2002.

"I’ve always looked for the perfect life to step into. I’ve taken all the paths to get where I wanted. But no matter where I go, I still come home me." -- Layne Staley
