I've Enjoyed the Process

I've really enjoyed searching out decent live performances and massaging them into an acceptable level of sound quality. It has been one of the more laborious processes I've taken on musically in quite some time, but that's not to say it hasn't been fun. Only being able to work on them a few hours a week has been frustrating and in a couple of cases, I actually "lost" songs that I intended to include in the album and then couldn't readily find again simply because I'd have to cut off working on a track for three or four days and then couldn't recall what tape or SD card it was on.

But all told there will be at least 28-29 performances which include more than thirty songs. Several of them have been made available in some form or another over the past twenty-five years; many of them haven't ever been formally released. All of them will sound pretty much as good as they can given their sources...either a boombox or a cheap digital recorder. In some instances, I included more than one version of a song just because the performance deserved hearing.

Now, as I mentioned a day or so ago, it's time to focus on completing everything else. I still have a lot of writing to do for several albums. And I have to figure out the design of the (very small) packages. I'm sure five or six will be unique, numbered and signed special editions.
