First Song in the Can

I worked on and off on the first song of a new album over the last three days when I had a bit of spare time and finished it up early this morning with some additional bits of guitar and voice. It's a catchy little number. I hope one day when it's tumbling around in the ether that one or two folks somewhere in this great big ol' world of ours take a hankering to it...along with the other 11 songs that share an album home together. Yeah...I think I'm going to try for a twelve song record. Could take me up to three or four months at the rate I'm working right now. The next CDBaby upload is right now going to be a variation on BIG BUSINESS MONKEY, VOLUME FIVE with 6-7 previously unreleased tracks added to the mix.

Maybe the single most important rock and roll song in the history of the Western World hit number one on the U.S. album charts on this day in 1964. That would be "I Want To Hold Your Hand" by The Beatles.

On this day in 1978, Joy Division played their first ever live show in Manchester, England.
