Dino! (And Paul!)

You're probably not going to believe this, but my wife and three of our friends drove 5 1/2 hours to Steubenville, Ohio, to the 100 birthday celebration for cultural icon the King of Cool, Dean Martin. If you don't know who Dean Martin is (or was...he died years ago), first of all, shame on you! That said, he was part of the actor/singer supergroup the Rat Pack which also featured as its members ringleader Frank Sinatra, Joey Bishop, Peter Lawford, and Sammy Davis, Jr. It was a surreal experience that I'm not going to elaborate on today. I took a few pictures that I might post in a later update. We had a blast but I'm glad to be back home. It'll take me a day or so to get back to normal, I'm sure.

Paul McCartney was born on this day in 1942. That makes him freaking SEVENTY-FIVE years old. I'm sorry...I cannot believe that. Paul has had 91 Top Ten records. And, oh yeah...33 number one records. And, oh yeah...188 charted records.

Nothing much to report about BOK. Don't think George gets back until Wednesday or Thursday this coming week.

"The whole world is drunk and we're just the cocktail of the moment. Someday soon, the world will wake up, down two aspirin with a glass of tomato juice, and wonder what the hell all the fuss was about." -- Dean Martin
