Jim Shelley & Book Of Kills

Change is Good?

I've had the same look to this web page now for I think nearly two years. I'm mulling over the idea of completely redesigning the look. Next week I'll have two or three days to think it over and make the change if that's what I decide to do.

As far as the "new album" goes, I'm really sort of casting around in my mind what sort of music I want to make. I tried a wide variety of styles in 2015-16 while I was working on the Single of the Month series. Perhaps I'll just make something that's all over the map.

Syd Barrett was born on this day in 1946. He passed away in 2006. If you have any knowledge of Book of Kills music, you'll know that Syd's music was a big influence on me. I wrote "Stanley the Steamer" about him, of course.

"It's always been too slow for me. Playing. The pace of things. I'm a fast sprinter. The trouble was, after playing in the group for a few months, I couldn't reach that point." -- Syd Barrett
