Jim Shelley & Book Of Kills

Bonus CD

Those few of you (and I thank you for your patronage) who subscribed to the Book of Kills Single of the Month series back in 2015-16 should be receiving a free bonus compact disc, if you haven't already gotten it, in the mail shortly. The disc will feature the twenty songs on the latest BOK compilation of rare/unreleased material, BIG BUSINESS MONKEY, VOLUME SIX, that I've been mentioning lately. I'm not sure if that album is available for streaming yet; I haven't checked, though I do know it has been available on YouTube for a couple days now. The compact disc will also contain a little insert with brief track by track notes.

Garfield, George and I are going to jam Monday. Not sure what that's going to lead to, but it'll be fun to play a few tunes that I have no idea how to play any longer, since it has been six months since we last played together.

John Cale was born on this day in 1942.

"The avant-garde makes more sense to me."

"I like what the future holds. I don't like thinking about the past."

"I'm content with making records, but I don't want to be doing the same thing all the time."

"That's what my life is, writing songs."
