Recorded live at CecilFest, July 12, 2003. A good live rendition of an excellent song written by Jane Firkin. Easily one of her more popular compositions live. We originally recorded a rather clunky version of it for E.P., then re-did it for HOGGETT HEAD.
Again...Jane on lead vocal and guitar; me on lead guitar and backing vocal; Bill Bird on bass; Casey Firkin on drums, Randy Simpson on guitar. One more example of the uniqueness of that version of BOK was. No one had ever sounded like that band and no one really ever has since. Everything I hear today sounds like a rehash of a million things that have come before it. Not that group. It was just a unique combination of a fiver of very unusual talents.
I always really enjoyed playing other people’s songs when I was in a band because I could concentrate on my guitar and not have to worry about singing so much.
