I'll say it again: Fear + Whiskey was an under-appreciated band. At least the Zack Simpson, Amy Bugg, Jim Shelley (+ George Nipe III towards the end of the group's run) line-up was. Here's a relatively rare live version of "Carry Me" from March 1, 2012, the debut of the Simpson/Bugg/Shelley version. I'm still amazed that we pulled off a two-hour live radio show after having practiced together less than a month into the band's existence. Let me reiterate: "Carry Me" is not an easy song for a trio to pull off, but we did. Somehow we did. Enjoy.
And if you enjoy listening to these rare performances, why not take a few moments to stream some BOK on your phone or computer or whatever electronic device you prefer? If you're feeling particularly charitable, download a song or two! And then get on the phone and tell a friend about bookofkills.com and Book of Kills music. You'll feel good about yourself if you do.
