Jim Shelley & Book Of Kills

Yet Another Album Available Soon!!!

The second in the series of remixed compilations of the Book of Kills Singles Series tracks has been uploaded to CDBaby. Now they'll do their thing and distribute the fourteen newly remixed and remastered songs that comprise HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE WE? I expect a third compilation will be released in February. I'm not sure what songs that album will feature. I still have an unfinished track from the singles sessions that I'd like to eventually finish. It'd be cool to include that with the third compilation album.

George, Garfield and I practiced a couple hours Tuesday. Mainly we worked on "Glass Turns to Sand" and "Mexican Buzzsaw". Next week we're going to try to get The Stones's "Paint It Black" down.

Just two more days and this fucking year will be over. Man oh man, I hope 2017 is better than 2016, but I'm not terribly optimistic.

On this day in 1967, The Beatles scored their FIFTEENTH number one with "Hello Goodbye".

It should also be noted that the great Patti Smith was born on this day in 1946.

"I wasn't attractive, I wasn't very verbal, I wasn't very smart in school. I wasn't anything that showed the world I was something special, but I had this tremendous hope all the time. I had this tremendous spirit that kept me going. I was a happy child, because I had this feeling that I was going to go beyond my body physical. I just knew it." -- Patti Smith
