Jim Shelley & Book Of Kills

Various Thoughts

My web page host tells me it's time to upload another Book Of Kills album, so now begins the process once again of figuring out which remaining release to upload. I'm thinking this time it's between BLOOM OR DIE?, SPLENDID TRIGGER, BIG BUSINESS MONKEY, VOLUME ONE, or WRITING ON THE WALL. I'm leaning towards BIG BUSINESS MONKEY at the moment. By the way, if you want to order a compact disc (which someone does a few times a year, believe it or not), it's best to order it directly through me. Just contact me at bookofkils@aol.com and I can be sending you a copy of whatever album or albums you want much faster than if you ordered through any other online store.

George Nipe III came out to the house this past Sunday. We talked a bit about what, if anything, the two of us could do together musically. There's a chance we'll do some recording together. I'll keep you posted, of course.

Every couple months or so, someone asks me why I don't post more unreleased stuff by THE KARL ROVE, which, if you're not up on such things, was a politically oriented rock band I was in with Billy Hunt, Aaron Farrington, and Johnny St. Ours from late 2004 through mid 2006. Over the past few years I've uploaded at one time or another just about every live show we did (we only played around 20 shows). I have some practice recordings that I've alluded to previously and truthfully, I haven't gone through it all but I'll get to it one of these days. In my defense, I have posted a few unreleased nuggets over the past two or three years.
