Jim Shelley & Book Of Kills

Still On The "Next One"...

Still working on #8. It has proved rather problematic. I just can't get the right guitar sound nor can I seem to come up with a satisfactory arrangement. I'll keep working. I feel as though I'm at least halfway home on the album. This is just a little bump in the road. Sooner or later, if you keep plugging...

It's interesting to keep track of what albums are "trending" on iTunes, Spotify, and the other various online stories that allow the artist to see what songs of his or hers are currently most popular. The interesting thing is how quickly one album rises while another falls. This week THIS IS YOUR BOOK OF KILLS sits at the toppermost of the poppermost. That said, there seem to be a few songs that tend to stay popular (in a relative manner of speaking...this is Book Of Kills we're talking about, after all) week after week. In particular "Jesco White", "La La La La La La (She's A Punk Rock Girl", "Ah Ahh Ahhh!", "Alien Girl", "What Never Was", "See You Again", "Caroline", and "New James Shelley Blues" just seem to stay consistently in the top ten, rarely if ever dipping in popularity.
