Song #4 Finished
I've finished a fourth song...well, actually I'm about 95% done. But it's time to move on to the fifth song, so I'm going to let this latest one simmer on the back burner for a while and eventually I'll come back to it and tinker a bit more with it. The same holds true for the other three songs I've committed to tape so far. I've learned over the years that if I leave a song alone for a time when I come back to it later I seem to have some new ideas to implement that I wouldn't have come up with originally. I'm happy with what's been coming out of my head and I feel like I'm in one of those zones where I can write a hundred songs if I want to. But for now...it's on to the next one. While I have a general idea of what I'm going to do, I'm not sure I have enough time the rest of the week to get much of a start on it. Maybe I can sketch out the basic arrangement and be ready to go by next Monday.
It's amazing what the prospect of a new album does for traffic on this website. It's hard to fathom, but after four days in February, bookofkills.com has had almost as many hits as it received all of January!
Haven't had any additional time to get working on uploading another album. And I still haven't decided which one it'll be. Don't forget to stream or download a few BOK songs (or albums) when you need some good homemade music to listen to! Even though Spotify pays a ridiculously low rate, every single stream helps.
