Saluted and Defied Part II, etc.
SALUTED AND DEFIED, the latest BOK release, is still being examined for final release by CDBaby. As I said previously, it should be available some time next week. It's good. I like it. But then, I make music I like. Who knows if anyone else likes it. I'm a dinosaur, I guess.
I don't think we're going to practice this week. George is out of town through Friday, I believe. I don't know if we'll practice next weekend or not. A new (old) song "I Leave Her There Until She Rings 3 Times" from 1996's WRITING ON THE WALL that we worked on for the first time last practice came together fairly quickly with some new touches suggest by George. I think we were all pretty excited about the song after practice was over. I've thought about edited together a ten or fifteen minute collage of the part of the practice during which we worked on it. Might be entertaining to listen to if you've ever wondered what goes on during a practice when the band are putting something new together.
On this day in 1963, one of America's greatest singers EVER died. Patsy Cline, Cowboy Copas, and Hawkshaw Hawkins all perished in a plane crash on their way to Nashville.
On this day nearly thirty years later in 1982, the great John Belushi died of from an overdose of cocaine and heroin.
