Riding The Echo Down

For all intents and purposes, RIDING THE ECHO DOWN is finished! I have also begun printing the thin line insert and the compact discs. I took the songs through another round or two of mixes, but as I've said before, you just reach a point of diminishing returns where you mix a song one way one day and then change everything back to the way it was the day before. Mixing and mastering are incredibly complicated processes for me. I don't know yet when I will put the CD up for direct sale. Eventually it will go on sale on iTunes, CDBaby, Amazon, Slacker, Spotify, and so on, but that won't be for another month or two. When you're not big time, corporations don't sweat the details of your release. When they get to it, they get to it.

Got the news from Gary Bugg tonight that Brian Temples has given Amy Bugg a diamond! Congratulations to both. They are two of the best people I've ever been in bands with. I know you'll join me in wishing them all the best! There is the slim possibility that some form of BOK would play July 19 at a party for Brian and Amy but I'm not too confident that that's going to happen. As far as George, Jane, Casey, Pablo and me, I am as much in the dark as anyone as to whether we'll play again. Considering the excitement the band generated without hardly trying, I would hope we might reconvene some day, but who knows. Musicians are crazy!
