Music Doesn't Pay

I've started preliminary work on the first song for the seventh single.

Here are some interesting stats concerning how much the average musician makes from the various streaming services in existence today (you know, the ones who say they pay their artists so well?). These are industry averages:

An artist (solo or band...it doesn't make a difference) receives about 2/10ths of a cent every time his or her (or their) song is streamed.

To make about one dollar, an artist has to have his or her song streamed 456 times.

To earn the current U.S. minimum wage for a month (about $1,260), an artist would have to have his or her song(s) streamed about 574,560 times in that month.
