If You're A Beatles Fan...

If you're a Beatles fan, you probably know that this day looms quite large in the band's history. On this day in 1961, Brian Epstein saw The Beatles play for the very first time during a lunch-time session at the Cavern Club (since torn down and later rebuilt in a different location) in Liverpool, England. On this day in 1966, John Lennon met Yoko Ono for the very first time when he visited her art exhibition at the Indica Gallery in London. Also on this day in '66, Paul McCartney is alleged by "Paul is dead" conspiracists to have perished in an automobile accident. Also on this day in '66, Brian Epstein informed a couple of prominent tour managers that The Beatles were no longer going to perform live. On this day in 1967, John was the featured artist on the famous cover of the first ROLLING STONE. Whew!

What do you think about Taylor Swift (and subsequently several other significant musical artists) removing all of her (their) music from Spotify in protest of the company's pathetic rate of compensation. I know I've gone over this before, but I really don't like streaming sites either. If you download just one of my albums on iTunes (founded by the very artist-friendly Steve Jobs), I'll make about $6.50. If you, on the other hand, stream one or more of my songs 500 freaking times on Spotify, I'll make a little over $4.

Go Taylor!
