Hope you're having a happy holiday season, at least if you're into that kind of thing! Otherwise, I just hope your life is moving along just the way you want it to move.
Former BOK guitarist (from the 1997-98 version) Dave Buracker just sent me a couple of copies (thanks, Dave!) of his new book DUST, a collection of his poetry from 1993-2013. It's a great anthology. Dave's one of my favorite poets ever. I can't recommend this collection highly enough. Go to Amazon right now and order yourself a copy and while you're at it, do your friends a favor and get them copies, too!
As far as music goes, with the holidays recording usually comes to almost a complete standstill for obvious reasons. I have two songs in the can and some outtakes but I don't know if I'll have any time before the new year rolls around to do anything creative. I already have the third song's structure in my mind; it'll just be a matter of having a couple of free hours available to commit it to tape.
Book Of Kills has a show scheduled in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on Sunday, January 5 at 9 P.M., as you probably already know. Casey had suggested that we play a home concert at his place in Rileyville next Saturday, but I am doubtful that I'll be able to get away from family obligations long enough to play. I'm hopeful we'll all be able to convene one day before the show.
