I won't pretend that I watched much of the 2016 Major League World Series (I'm a diehard Yankees fan), but I did catch an inning or two of each game and I certainly followed each one as well in print. I was happy to see the Cubs win it all because my father was a huge fan of the team, watching dozens and dozens of games on (Chicago TV superstation) WGN each year in the last couple of decades of his life. Even when he was in the throes of Alzheimer's, he continued to enjoy watching Cubs games. I hope somehow, somewhere he enjoyed last night's triumph. I certainly thought about him all evening. When the Cubs finally clinched their first title since 1908, I had tears in my eyes. I felt the Big Man's presence in my heart.
I believe I'll finish up the CD version of FILLING IN HOLES (the 8 song E.P. I just uploaded to CDBaby) today, though (as usual) I can't guarantee that. I might even be able to mail them by tomorrow (though again...)
"I'm always working on new songs. With the technology these days, any idiot can record on Pro Tools on [his or her] laptop. All you have to do is plug a microphone into the input jack and anybody can have their own recording studio. So I'm always down in my basement, singing along to riffs or whoever I'm collaborating with." -- Sebastian Bach
