Beatles, BOK, Karl Rove & Kurt

Speaking of Kurt Cobain, IDW is set to announce the future publication of a graphic novel entitled Who Killed Kurt Cobain?.

Looks as though the re-constituted Karl Rove won't practice again this week. Maybe next week. If not, I'd say pretending the band could be ready to perform this summer would be a bit unrealistic.

BOK played a good show at the Little Grill in Harrisonburg, Virginia, on this day in 2009. The set list: Killing Time Again, Different, Glass Turns To Sand, Placebo, Blue Man, Never Be Like You, Why Won't You?, So Tired, Breed, Don't Stop The Scream, Stanley The Steamer.

On this day in 1970, Paul McCartney announced that The Beatles had dissolved. John Lennon, deciding some months earlier to leave the band, had kept silent at the request of Paul, George and Ringo. He was furious to hear Paul had made the band's dissolution public.

"I have no future plans to record or appear with The Beatles again, or to write any music with John." -- Paul McCartney

"Paul hasn't left. I sacked him." -- John Lennon
