Attention Spans Ain't What They Used To Be

I've been saying this for years now, but it's interesting to hear someone from a band I respect say the same thing...

"We always liked the idea of releasing an e.p. every six months. That was kind of our initial idea until our record label was like, 'That's not the best way to do it', but hopefully someday...I feel like shorter albums in general are becoming a little bit more popular just because the attention span of people kind of has become...you know, instant gratification...you know, singles have become more important than full-length albums. Luckily I don't...I'm happy that I can still sit down and put on a record and listen to the whole thing...it's more meaningful to me in that way, but I guess you have to think of the trends...the way people consume music, I guess." - Sarah Barthel
