Jim Shelley & Book Of Kills

Another Collection Of Odds & Ends?

I had a chance to (very briefly) check out some old tapes stored in the giant plastic box full of cassettes (out in the garage) from the mid '90s to the early 2000s containing demos, some original unreleased songs, and even a few covers. I've been pretty busy or distracted with other stuff, so I really didn't have much time to re-discover what all was there. This isn't a cache of forgotten material. I recorded a myriad of tracks with just an acoustic guitar or two after 1998's IF I SHOULD FALL E.P. but never did anything with them, but I was always aware they were there. They're not too shabby, at least the ones I had to the opportunity to listen to again, so I got to thinking that if I could find ten or twelve decent performances collectively they might make for an interesting (and very different) album. What form that sort of release would take, I don't know. Once I have the time to listen to everything, I'll make a decision. Check back for further details, of course.
